Construction project management under the P.M.I.
Construction project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to achieve project requirements.
The application of practices to a construction project is what makes construction a unique industry.
It is the institution that governs the project management framework and in the specific industry two areas of knowledge are added based on their PMBOOK CONSTRUCTION EXTENSION.
These areas are HSSE and financial management of the project.
In AINCO we have developed the AINCO construction methodology this methodology is based on the collaborative framework of the P.M.I., this methodology is based on using project management as a manual to develop projects in a standardized way and that can guarantee the quality of our projects. The first step in this implementation is to have the human resources capable of carrying it out. In AINCO through a philosophy of continuous improvement, we have developed a constant training program where staff are encouraged to seek to improve and put project management into practice. This business training for existing staff and a requirement for any new staff entering the organization. It is the first step in any organization, although generally, simultaneously with this training, it is advisable to receive external advice to speed up adoption. Project management extends beyond a single project and encompasses the organization's programs and portfolios to synchronize its resources and thus maximize them.
Form a Project Management Office it is for an organization advanced in the methodology where its different business areas are in tune under a clear structure that allows the board of directors to operate the resources of the organization based on the business strategy in the best way.
A P.M.O. interacts with the board of directors, the administrative team and the heads of each project in such a way that it can transmit a holistic vision of the operations and therefore act as a management or support entity. In AINCO the implementation of the project office originated from the need of the digital transformation of the organization. Which this office acts as support and provides a framework for the organization's programs, portfolios and projects, getting closer every day to more integrated projects under our collaborative contracts, I.P.D..
