What is LEAN?

It is a system that seeks to maximize the creation of value in the processes. Through tools and his philosophy KAIZEN of continuous improvement. Under a production system J.I.T. (Just-In-Time) and the method P.D.C.A. (Plan-Do-Check-Act). Its objective is to create value for the customer and eliminate waste, everything that is not value is waste that can be eliminated or minimized.

LEAN principles

  1. Value.
  2. Value Stream.
  3. Flow.
  4. Pull System.
  5. Perfection.
  6. Transparency.
  7. Training.

"Work philosophy that seeks the excellence of the company, therefore, its principles can be applied in all phases of a project: design, engineering, pre-commercialization, marketing, sales and execution, after-sales service, customer service, commissioning. in framework and maintenance of the project, logistics and relationship with the supply chain.”

Lean Construction Institute

“Production management-based approach to project delivery. Causing a revolution in the design, supply and assembly of the sector. applied to the Integrated Project Delivery (I.P.D.), from design to delivery, changing the way work gets done through the entire delivery process.”

IMPLEMENT LEAN

The LEAN implementation in an organization of the architecture, engineering and construction industry (AINCO), has as its main challenge a change of mentality in the way the industry is evaluated, in risk management and collaborative work with suppliers and the client.

Focused on 3 aspects of the industry:

1. An infrastructure project has a unique nature.

2. It's something unique that runs in a different place.

3. It is carried out by a multi-organization of a temporary nature, which in each place will need different means and resources specific to each area.

By breaking these paradigms, organizations can find the following benefits:

  • Higher quality in construction.
  • Greater customer satisfaction.
  • Higher productivity.
  • Improved security.
  • Reduction of delivery times.
  • Greater profit and cost reduction.
  • Better risk management.

LEAN IMPLEMENTATION SYSTEM (LPDS)

It is a collaborative process for the integral management of the project, throughout its entire life cycle. A team is employed throughout the process to align goals, resources, and constraints.

The client determines the allowed cost of the project, which is the maximum amount that the business model can support. The team's mission is to understand and deliver the best customer value and eliminate all activities that do not add value.
